KIUCHI BREWERY
The Kiuchi Brewery was established in 1823 by Kiuchi Gihei, the headman of Kounosu village in northeast Japan. His family collected rice from farmers as land taxes and he began his brewery with the idea of using remaining rice stocks in the warehouse for sake. In autumn 1996 the sake brewery began making beer with a unique owl character logo under the name Hitachino Nest. Over the years the beer has gained worldwide acclaim by winning awards at numerous beer competitions. Hitachino Nest was the first Japanese craft beer to be exported overseas and has a cult following in Tokyo and New York

Saison du Japon is brewed with a local wheat and koji
(malted rice) which is a vital ingredient to create sake.
This beer has a uniquely sweet flavor of rice koji and a natural
pleasing acidity caused by the fermentation.

A classic lager with a Japanese citrus twist. This yuzu citrus
lager combines the Japanese citrus fruit, similar in flavour to a
grapefruit and mandarin orange, with a traditional lager to make
for a delicate yet deep flavour. Enjoy the refreshing acidity from
the yuzu and the crispness of a lager.

A refreshing mildly hopped Belgian styled beer with a complex
flavor of coriander, orange peel, nutmeg. White Ale has won gold
medals at several beer competitions in U.K. and U.S. This is one
of Hitachino’s top-selling beers both in Japan and the

KIUCHI BREWERY
The Kiuchi Brewery was established in 1823 by Kiuchi Gihei, the headman of Kounosu village in northeast Japan. His family collected rice from farmers as land taxes and he began his brewery with the idea of using remaining rice stocks in the warehouse for sake. In autumn 1996 the sake brewery began making beer with a unique owl character logo under the name Hitachino Nest. Over the years the beer has gained worldwide acclaim by winning awards at numerous beer competitions. Hitachino Nest was the first Japanese craft beer to be exported overseas and has a cult following in Tokyo and New York

strawberries in the nose and palate. An intriguing mix of sake,
malt and bitter notes in the finish.

Saison du Japon is brewed with a local wheat and koji
(malted rice) which is a vital ingredient to create sake.
This beer has a uniquely sweet flavor of rice koji and a natural
pleasing acidity caused by the fermentation.
HITACHINO NEST YUZU LAGER / 330ml
A classic lager with a Japanese citrus twist. This yuzu citrus
lager combines the Japanese citrus fruit, similar in flavour to a
grapefruit and mandarin orange, with a traditional lager to make
for a delicate yet deep flavour. Enjoy the refreshing acidity from
the yuzu and the crispness of a lager.

A refreshing mildly hopped Belgian styled beer with a complex
flavor of coriander, orange peel, nutmeg. White Ale has won gold
medals at several beer competitions in U.K. and U.S. This is one
of Hitachino’s top-selling beers both in Japan and the
